"It is hoped Sydney's brand new Asbestos Disease Research Centre will lead the world in finding better treatments and even cures for fatal dust diseases.

For years Bernie Banton fought hard for victims of asbestos related diseases - his own life eventually claimed in 2007 by Mesothelioma.

Today, a new research facility named in his honour has been opened at Concord."...
